  1. Just like 8 ball..if you scratch on the 8 you lose..9 ball..if you scratch you lose.

  2. The first 3 answers are 100% tottaly wrong.  Trick however is correct.  The 9 ball is spotted and the opponent gets ball in hand.  However most players will just conceed the game.  Good luck, and keep rackn em up!

  3. Is definately a loss if the cueball is pocketed on the same shot as the nine. If the nine remains on table the opponent gets ball in hand which you might as well say is a loss as well.

  4. you lose

  5. The rules on the BCA and WPA sites don't specifically mention scratching while pocketing the nine ball, unlike for 8 ball rules.  Therefore, I can only conclude that the nine ball is spotted and the opponent gets cue ball in hand.

Moreover, there's specific mention that:  "2.6.  If the nine ball is pocketed on a foul or push out, or driven off the table, it is spotted."

  6. i wanna be a smartass and say you WIN,but nah you Lost the gamE.. ♫ ♪ ♫ ±¤

  7. definitely lose

  8. Actually, this exact situation is covered in the rules.

    "2.6 Spotting Balls

If the nine ball is pocketed on a foul or push out, or driven off the table, it is spotted. (See 1.4 Spotting Balls.) No other object ball is ever spotted."

Since scratching is a foul, you must spot the 9 ball then give up ball in hand. You do not automatically lose.

Of course, most people will concede the rack after scratching while pocketing the 9 ball.

  9. u lose buddy

  10. lose
