Billiards Pool, Pocketing an opponents ball after first hitting your own with the Cue ball, legal or not?

In regular Billiards Pool, if you Pocket an opponents ball after first hitting your own with the Cue ball, do you get to continue your turn or not?

Your turn continues as long as you legally pocket called balls (designate which ball in which pocket). The only thing that would keep you from going on is if you scratch or otherwise foul. Pocketing your opponents balls is not a foul.

Not. If you don't make your ball, you lose your shot.

If you called the combo using the other players ball (after first hitting your ball) you could keep going.

The shot is perfectly legal but results in being your opponents shot. There is no foul on your part.

It's not a foul if you hit your ball first, but you don't continue shooting unless you also make one of yours.

If you hit your ball first and make your opponents ball the only way you get to continue your turn is if you make one of your balls too.  Making your opponents ball on a good hit is not a foul but you also have to make one of yours to keep at the table.

If you hit your ball first but only pocketed your opponents ball then you lose your turn.  If you made your ball plus one of theirs, you continue shooting (assuming you hit your ball first).
