Billiards problem!?

My gf and I were playing pool today and we had a couple issues on the rules of the game. The first arugment. My gf and I use the rule that you have to call the shot on the 8 ball before you shoot it. She had an easy shot to make yet she didn't call the shot. I told her that she losted since she didn't call the shot. Who was right? Even though it was an easy shot I felt that she could least call the shot because anything could of happened.

The next game: We both knocked in out last balls and the 8 ball was left on the table, she was about to shoot the 8 ball in. As she hit the cue ball she hit the cue ball once and hit it again. She hit the 8 ball in and i told her she losted since she hit the cue ball twice, therefore it is a scratch and when you scratch an 8 ball, you lose the game. Who was right, and what should of happened? By the way we were making bets, so it wasn't a mess around games of pool.

  1. she wins the first game because it was obvious where she was shooting the ball. you win the second game

  2. I TOLD YOU SOOO MIKE LANG!

I KNOW MY BILLIARDS THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

    =]

  3. You won both games

The 8 ALWAYS has to be called even if it is about to fall in a pocket

The hit on the cue would be a foul

  4. normally, when rules are made proir to starting a game to call shots, all shots must be called, since even obvious shots are not always taken. I have often called a shot back to a corner or cross side when it was easier to go straight. Case #2, A double cue in regulation play is normally a scratch, but in your case, if no rule was made  she was right, unless regulations were stated before the game started.

  5. Indianjo is right, but more importantly,DON'T play your girlfriend serious frames.

If you lose you're a loser in her eyes and you'l get stick for losing to a girl.

If you win, you'l get no nookie.

Pull yourself together man. If she insists on playing serious, kick her *** so bad she doesn't push to play for money anymore.

  6. A rule is a rule, however I would never call a foul on someone who didn't call the pocket if it was obvious.  If I ever have question on what they are doing with the object ball and they didn't call anything, I will simply ask, because its within my right to know what ball and pocket they are shooing.  As for the double hit, there is never a situation where you can hit the cue ball twice within the same shot.  I play BCA rules, and in that situation of fouling and making the 8, you lose.  If she didn't make the 8, you would just get ball in hand.  Good luck, and keep rackin em up!
