Billing adress on Amazon.com?

I bought two books and gave all the details,paid with my credit card...everything ok.When they confirmed my order,they showed me the shipping adress.But they also showed me the billing adress.What's that?Does it mean I have to pay for the books when the package gets here?

  1. The billing address is the address that the credit card bill goes to.  If your bills go to your home address, then your billing address and shipping address are the same.  If you want the item shipped somewhere else, like your summer home or friend's house, the shipping address would be different.  Amazon charges your credit card when the items ship.


  2. What it simply means just for confirmation that your the shipping and billing address is correct. Sometimes people have their stuff ship to a different address. So just for yours and their protection they like to get a confirm billing address that matches your card otherwise they won't accept it.
