I live in Sedgefield, which is not far away. I was there today actually, I went to Boyes to get some fabric. It's a bit grim but could be worse!

Hello,

I am from Middlesbrough down the road and have been to Billingham many, many times. I would admit that the train station is grim. It's not really a station though, more a 200 metre long slab of concrete.

Billingham has a great leisure centre called the Forum, with an ice-skating rink and everything.

I would love to know how you got stranded in Billingham, of all places.

**I'm not surprised the train doors wouldn't open in Stockton, I think the train was trying to protect you!!! (Only joking if anyone from Stockton takes offence, I'm from Boro so I can't say owt!!!***

i live at durham im a chef and work for a couple of agencies and have worked in one of the nursing homes a couple of times at billingham although i drive

been to the forum ice skating, the area we had to go through to get there looked rough. might have changed havent been there for about 10 years.
