Billy Merriott to make experience count in 100% For Research "National Hunt" Novices´ Hurdle at Plumpton

Both abovementioned runners are likely to play big roles, but the preference is for Billy Merriott in the 100% For Research "National Hunt" Novices´ Hurdle at Plumpton on Monday, November 19, 2012. The Harry Fry-trained has already shown good stuff over hurdles, including the previous victory at Hereford.
After suffering an awful tumble in January, the 6-year-old quickly got his act together, and took a handsome 9-length win in May. In the hands of Ryan Mahon, the 2-1 chance took keen hold in the rear, and made smooth progress after the sixth hurdle. By making a splendid effort, he led well before the wire, and subsequently ran on gamely to extend his advantage.
After leaving Paul Nicholls’ yard, the son of Dr Massini is making his first ride for the new yard. But he will surely make his previous experience count in today’s class 4 meeting. Over a distance of two miles and five furlongs, six speedy horses will start pursuing a handy prize of £2,669 at 13:50 GMT.
Ace Fighter Pilot is respected after an easy hurdles debut win. Similar is the situation with Letsby Avenue, who secured a promising debut win in a bumper, and should be respected for the good yard.
Ballylifen is capable of running well, but needs to raise his game in order to claim the first rank. The 5-year-old has been running well, but in defeat. On his recent comeback, Mick Channon’s charge was second on the table. Chargen looks vulnerable under these circumstances. Tothemoonadback also does not look to have good prospects after a couple of well held hurdles runs.
Billy Merriott, Ace Fighter Pilot and Letsby Avenue, all are likely to run big, with the preference going for the first-named, who is determined to continue his marvellous work for the new yard. Good luck to all the contestants.
