  1. I agree with your first responder. I am shocked, but pleased with this sentence....however, they aren't sending him back to yemen...upon release, he will be placed back in general population in Gitmo...b/c they have nowhere else to send him. Just like the other 'terrorists' who have been cleared of all charges, but whom are not welcome back in their own countries. The US isn't willing to take them, their countries aren't willing to take them, so they will be housed in prision indefinately....that is not 'justice' nor 'the American way'. I can't imagine the complete outrage if one of our soldiers was treated in this way.....much less one of our cab drivers.

  2. He has already spent 5 years in "Gitmo."

He must be a nervous wreck from all that brutal treatment, so the wimpy, ultra-liberal judge gave him a 5.5 year sentence, and that means he's free to go home in about 5 months.

I guess the judge felt like the poor guy is a result of a disfunctional family life.

  3. Just goes to show how f*cked up the Military Tribunals are.

Even the stacked military jury wasn't willing to give this guy a life sentence for just being a chauffer.
