  1. both are great. i personally love the cartels but when it comes to savin $85, go with the 390s. can't go wrong with either one.

  2. 390's for sure man.  They have a gel ankle strap which is super comfy and its ridiculous with how many customization options they have. They have also the patented rome underwrap heel hoop which is awesome and the conformist toe strap which gives you a choice between using capstraps or the old fashioned over the top toe straps.

  3. I ride with Rome 390's and love them.  They are very responsive and look great too.  I think you will be happy with them.

  4. 390's definitly. they are better than the burtons. also if u wanna look at some other bindings technines and unions are dope. rides are nice too the ride beta movements are really good. but def look into technines and union (union forces are amazing)

  5. ive heard good things about both but sorry i dont know how they compare

  6. Here's the big difference: 390 are one of the softest bindings on the market and the cartels are stiffer than bone. So to answer your question. If you want a more freestyle oriented binding, grab the 390. If you do mostly freeride or backcountry and little freestyle, then go cartel. Good luck.
