Bio-Bay in Puerto Rico?

Question

Where to go? Where to Stay? Please give me some direction. I am going to PR in march and staying in the condado area but I cannot go home until I experience this.

You are correct :) Its a must see! Which one are you going to? There are 3 in Puerto Rico. La Parguera in the South is fun, but not very bright. I suggest either the lagoon in Fajardo or Mosquito Bay in Vieques(this is the most popular). They are both very bright & & close by each other. Also take a kayak, not a boat. It is much better b/c you can feel the water(thats how it glows) & it doesnt pollute the bay.

Fajardo is on the East Coast. It is Nice to stay hear because El Yunque the rain forrest is here also. & there are nice resorts like El conquistador. & it is only 45 minutes from San Juan, so you dont even need to stay here. You can drive or take a bus trip. Luquillo Beach close by is nice also.

Vieques is a seperate island off the coast of PR, so it is a little harder to get to. You take a ferry ride for $4 R/T (but it doesnt run often) from Fajardo. Vieques has gorgeous white sand beaches. Red Beach is great. Here you will mainly find small vacation homes & villas to rent.

There are a lot of bars, restaurants, discos, all in that area .  Right now I can't give you details.(sorry)

There are two bio-bay in PR:

* La Parguera in Lajas, (southwest area of the island), you will need to rent a car, and probably stay the night at a one of several "Paradores" (small inns) available at the area.

* There is another in the islands of Vieques or Culebra, right know not sure in which one.  vieques and Culebra are in the east coast of PR, you will need to get a Ferry in Fajardo or take a small plane.
