Ok.

So we have to build a 3d cell [plant or animal] and i am stuck.

it can be edible, but i dont have enough to make it edible. So i wanted to use hairgel, but thats about as far as i have gotten. Any ideas, suggestions, etc...would be wayyy appriciated.

Thanks

  1. hairgel?..lol  sounds like a lot of hairgel though

i'm thinking plant cell would be easier cause you could just make a box with green plexiglass or something

could put hairgell in it if you wanted and then like various marbles or bouncy balls for all the organelles and nucleus... maybe a clear balloon for the vacuoles

green transparant glass pebble things for chloroplasts

    what color hairgel is it?

  2. How about Jello?  Make a mold with plaster of paris or whatever, fill it partway and put in things like a ping pong ball for the nucleus, gummi worms for mitochondria, chocolate chips for ribosomes.

Can you tell I'm getting hungry?

  3. I remember doing this project in the 7th grade! I used Construction paper, Macaroni, Pipe cleaners, Beans and various other materials to make both cells.
