Bio-fuel from trash and poo?

with rising food prices could we turn garbage pickups and sewege into bio fuel?

A better idea than growing crops to make fuel while at the same time letting millions of people starve to death.

Yes I think the basic technology is there.  I am not sure if it is practical yet though.

Livestock farmers all over are turning manure into gas and using it to run engines and produce heat.  Some guy from South Africa built himself a system more than 40 years ago, and Mother Earth News wrote about it in the 1970's; unfortunately, it took the world a long time to catch on.
