HOW LONG DOES A NORMAL BROWN PAPER LUNCH BAG TAKE TO BREAK DOWN??

&

ARE THERE ANY BAGS THAT WILL BREAK DOWN WITHIN 5-6 WEEKS?

  1. Apparently paper, when it breaks down in landfill, produces methane gas which is bad.  The brown paper lunch bag (providing it is not stained) could be recycled with the pape waste recycling.  There are plastic biodegradable bags but they don't break down in landfill as they need light to biodegrade.
