How do you know how much methanol to add to the vegetable oil during transesterification?

  1. Good that your looking at non-petroleum based diesel.

       Check out wikipedia .


  2. You need to perform a Titration test on the heated oil to find the correct ratio of re-agent/catalyst to add.
