Biodiesel for petrol powered engines?

biodiesel..can a boidiesel fuel be used in a petrol powered engine..if can or cannot,,,WHY....please help,,,,urgent

  1. Bildiesel is for diesel motors, if u use it in a conventional gasoline engine it will ruin it.


  2. Biodiesel does not have the correct properties.  It has a lower vapor pressure (and won't form a combustible mixture), and its octane rating is low.

  3. bio diesel is DIESEL...  think about it wii ya.....

  4. Apples and oranges. Diesel engines don't use spark plugs, and use muchh higher compression ratios. Putting biodiesel in a gas engine would have the same effect as putting water or brake fluid in instead of gasoline.

  5. You can in a pinch r****d timing 6 degrees and run 20% with gasoline.
