Bio diesel is said to loose up to 10% of the total power when running higher concentrations.

personally i think bio-diesel cause hay when you can make your own gas you can get much more power full then that pulse i ramp up the octane

It depends on what you mean by Powerful.

In a similar engine, biodiesel and diesel are very similar in terms of power and torque output, I would say that some biodiesels tend to generate higher torque because of the richer C-H combination.

Nevertheless the catch is that at the same power, the engine tends to consume more biodiesel that diesel (almost 10% more, depending on the quality of BD)

i would say they're about equal. i would switch to biodiesel just for the environmental reasons though.

Diesel is more powerful, but any gains in clean exhaust seem to have some costs, in this case power.
