Anyone experience biofeedback therapy, neurofeedback therapy?

Can it help my daughter *7 year old, who has OCD and ODD issues.

  1. Research on biofeedback therapies (particularly neurofeedback using QEEG) has shown some potential for treating OCD, ODD, and CD.  However, much of that research is still in the preliminary stages.  If you do choose to receive this therapy, make sure you get a pre- and post- therapy EEG reading to make sure there aren't any unintended effects.  Also, you'd do well to ask about the sample used for the normative database you child will be training on.  Ideally, you want a database with a similar demographic - race, age, s*x, etc - rather than a regression based demographic.  

    Alternatively, EEG studies may be useful in suggesting cognitive therapies and psychopharmaceutical therapies that may be effective for your daughter.


  2. The best results for OCD are by a cognitive-behavioral therapist. (according to numerous studies that I have recently read)
