Biogas powered power generation system?

Question

Can someone guide me to a resource providing information on the design and setup of a small to medium (200 cows) biogas powered power generation system. I need help with choice of engine and generator, efficiencies, cost, mantainence and anything else that is necessary.

There is a small difference between 'Diesel Engine' and 'Bio-gas engine'. Basically it is in fuel feeding system. One is for diesel and other is for bio-gas.

Any 'diesel engine' can be converted to 'bio-gas engine'. You can even run your engine on 'duel-fuel' that is in case you do not have enough of bio-gas; you can run your engine on diesel.

If you are in India, contact "Kirloskar Diesel Engines" for details, they will supply you a complete "generation set". The company is in Pune.
