  1. I'm going through the same thing...only thing is, I'm the child.  I grew up not knowing my "dad" was my biological father.  I found out at 16 yrs of age.  It wasn't until just a few months ago that I asked my mother for my biological father's name.  I am now 24 yrs old.  I am curious as to his side of the family-mostly due to the fact that my "dad's" side of the family never really treated me like family (even before I knew I was not related to them).  It's just as hard and confusing from this end.  I am in the process of trying to make contact.  My biological father has no idea I even exist.  (He was in prison at the age of 19 for drugs).  So, even though I'm quite younger than your daughter-I know she's gotta be a bit curious.  And yes, I would want my children to have the opportunity to get to know my biological father even if I had no relationship with him.
