Children with single parents sometimes do poorly for the same reason that one women dies in the third world every 3 minutes from pregancy or birth complications... poverty.

Poverty restricts access to healing, education, health, jobs and awareness.

It is better children are raised by one healthy functional single parent with support than with two parents locked in abusive dysfunction.
