a Allolactose binds to the regulator gene.

  1. I would say B, because when it attaches to a repressor protein, it will cause it to change it's shape because all the bonds will have different charges which will stop if from functioning as a repressor and cause the production of the enzyme lactase which is what the questions says allolactose does.

This is just an educated guess, I do not know for sure.
