I'm doing a biology project as part of my A2 course... Its based on leaf length and width and light intensity. I found that length and width of leaves are greater when light intensity is less (Leaves found in the shade). My control variables are Tempreture, Soil pH and Humidity.

So what are my manipulated variables? Thanks in advance!

  1. your manipulated variables are where they leaves were found eg, in the shade/under a tree, partially shaded, in the direct sunlight.

also could be the fertiliser used on the tree the leaves are from could change with each tree.

  2. The manipulated variable (MV) is light intensity. A manipulated variable is a factor which changes other variables. For example, when there was more light, the length of the leaves was less.
