  1. Umm i think the rain forest would have a higher productivity because is gets the most rain fall, which would mean more growth..more plants for things to eat which makes more secondary consumers and so on. The grass land would be dry, so there would be less growth = less food. But I'm not sure if I'm right.. I just take biology in highschool (last year). Decomposers would not be at the end of the food web, the web would end with a tertiary consumer. But they would be at the end of a food cycle (carbon and nitrogen) breaking down the leftovers of everything. sorry I'm probably just being confusing, because I'm confusing myself lol.. good luck :)

  2. 1. Definitely a rain forest. It is the most productive biome on earth.

    2. Yes, decomposers are the end of the food web

  3. 1. I think a equatorial rain forest, because the rain forest has more vegetation and more water, which provides shelter and water as well as food for more animals.

    2. Decomposers aren't at the end, I'd say they're somewhat near the beginning. They decompose c**p and then it provides nutrients for stuff to grow. When the stuff grows, animals eat it, and then those animals get eaten, etc.

I took Bio a couple years ago, so this is from memory. Good luck.
