Lactase hydrolyses lactose into glucose and galactose. Galactose is then converted to another glucose by galactosidase. State the reactions involving these enzymes using word equations.

(2 x 3 marks.)

i am not sure if i have to include the water from the hydrolysis...any help would be awesome

    lactose  + H2O ----> glucose and galactose

    In the liver, galactose is converted to glucose 6-phosphate in the following reactions:

          

       galactose --------> gal 1 P ------------------> glc 1 P -----------> glc 6 P
