  1. There isn't one correct answer to this question, because the group Protista includes some photosynthesizing organisms (that use carbon dioxide and produce oxygen) and some heterotrophic organisms (that use oxygen and produce carbon dioxide).  

    Unfortunately, Protista is a paraphyletic group, and early taxonomists used it to lump organisms that they didn't know where else to include them, together.

  4. protista are a heterogeneous group of organisms members of which are organisms like the paramecium,which possess cilia,and the euglena which posses flagella.they form the largest group of photo plankton on earth and are unique in the sense that while other organisms take in oxygen and give out carbon dioxide,protista take in carbon dioxide and give out oxygen.they thus increase the levels of oxygen in our environment.therefore the answer is False
