Biology huxley and wilberforce?

"does any one know how scientifically valid the arguments of huxley and wilberforce were?"

I've never seen any substantial quotations indicating what their arguments actually were.  It was a verbal debate and no decent written report recorded it, as far as I'm aware.  That makes commenting on the validity difficult.  Cited quotations aren't necessarily genuine quotations.
