a seed is the actual fertilized egg that will eventually grow into a plant. A fruit is either a way for transportation(animal ate it, poops it out somewhere), or for a way for the seed to always land in an area with nutrients to help improve the chances of survival.

Double fertilization is when two sperm from a pollen enters the egg of an angiosperm plant. one forms a zygote with the egg, and the other sperm goes to the embryo sack. This makes a triploid nucleus, and only happens in angiosperms ( plants that flower)
