  1. Dominant: Phenotype seen in offspring whether or not the recessive allele is inherited by the offspring. (allele

Recessive: The phenotype that only shows up in the offspring if the dominant allele is not inherited. (allele)

    Homozygous: Same alleles present.

Heterozyous: The dominant allele is expressed in the phenotype and the recessive allele is not. Different allele present for a gene.

Incomplete dominance: A gene action in which heterozygotes have a phenotype that is different from either homozygote, and is usually intermediate between them.

Gene: A unit of inheritance and codes for a feature

  2. Dominant - If the Allele is there than the trait will be expressed

Recessive - Unless all alleles are recessive than the trat will not be expressed

Homozygous- All alleles for the trait are the same

    Heterozygous- All alleles are different

Incomplete dominance- Heterozygous, one dominant one recessive

Gene- A trait in the DNA that will express a certain characteristic

  3. Dominant: A gene which, when present on a chromosome, passes on a certain physical characteristic, even when the gene is present in only one copy. Brown hair is a dominent gene. A regressive gene is the opposite like blonde hair

Homozygous: Homo meaning the same. Having two identical alleles of a particular gene (eg GG, or TT). Hererozygous is the opposite; hetero meaning different e.g (Gg or Tt)

Incomplete dominance: simplest way to describe it is a  condition in which a trait is intermediate between two parents.

Gene: The basic biological unit of heredity; a segment of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) needed to contribute to a function.

  4. !.the trait the is shown in the f1 genotype

2.this type of gene does not work in the presence of a dominant allele

    3.two alleles are the same

    4.alleles are different

5.neither allele is recessive or dominant with respect to one another

6 a section of DNA that contains instructions to make a protein

  5. Dominant means that if you have 2 opposing genes for a particular trait, the one that will express itself over the other is the dominant one.  For instance if you have a gene for blond hair and one for dark hair, the dark one is dominant and will express itself and you will have dark hair.

Recessive is the opposite of dominant.  In the case given above, the recessive gene is the one that will not express itself if you also have an opposing dominant gene.

Homozygous - having two alleles of the same type for a given trait.

Heterozygous - having two alleles of different types for a given trait.

Incomplete dominance - A form of intermediate inheritance in which heterozygous alleles are both expressed, resulting in a trait intermediate between the two.

Gene - The basic biological unit of heredity.  It consists of a DNA sequence occupying a specific location on a chromosome and determines or affects a particular trait.

  6. Dominant-The Capitol Leter. OR the letter that will be the choosen Gene.

    Recessive-The Small letter

Homozygous-Having the same alleles at a particular gene locus on homologous chromosomes

Heterozygous-Having different alleles at one or more corresponding chromosomal

    Incomplete dominance-DONT KNOW

Gene-Er...something you get from your parents.

OMG. I alreayd learned this stuff in Seventh Grade!

    lol

  7. Dominant- a dominant trait or gene overpowers the recessive trait.

Recessive- is a trait that you have that you may not know you posses.

ex. say B is dominant brown hair and b is recessive or blonde.

if you had Bb then brown hair is dominant. If you had bb then blonde hair is recessive.

Homozygous is when you have two of the same traits in a gene.

    BB or bb is homozygous.

    Heterozygous is two different traits.

    Bb is heterozygous.

A gene is a linear sequence of nucleotides (or amino acids) in your DNA that make up your physical traits.

Incomplete dominance is a heterozygous condition in which both alleles in a gene  are partially expressed, often producing an intermediate phenotype

phenotype is your physical appearance.  So if you had Bb you would typically have brown hair because it is dominant, but because it is incomplete you will also be somewhat blonde.

  8. ooo boy fun i just got done doing this its wicked easy

gene- chemical factors that determine traits

incomplete dominance- situation in which one allele is not completely dominant over another

dominant- when one gene is dominant over the other

recessive- one gene is less dominant

homozygous- two genes of the same like hh or HH

heterozygous- two gens are different like Hh

good luck. its really easy i promise=]
