Biology questions?! (help!)

1) Explain why the blood glucose level is often high in people with untreated diabetes.

2) Drugs called diuretics cause the body to eliminate more water. Which hormone would be most affected by diuretics?

3) Explain the high blood sugar level of a person with type I diabetes in terms of insulin's effect on body cells?

  1. 1) Explain why the blood glucose level is often high in people with untreated diabetes.

    A person with diabetes has with their insulin, which is what regulates the blood glucose levels. So without the insulin, the blood sugar is not regulated, and becomes high.


  2. 1)           insulin a hormone is necessary for glucose metabolism in case of diabetes insulin secretion by pancreas is cheked or less . insulin is given to patient by outside. in case of untreated patient glucose level is high due to this reason
