I'm a high school junior, and i'm really interested in these fields. What are the benefits of these fields, and if possible can I intertwine these fields when i go to college?

  1. I'm not too familiar with biomedical engineering, but I'm guessing you could use it towards medical school, or to go into pharmauticals, chemistry, etc. Electrical engineering is a really broad field - you could go into electrical (power) systems, electronics, communication systems, etc. I say electrical's better, but then again that's what I studied :)

I know a lot of medical students study electrical theory as it applies to the brain/nervous system - maybe you could study that area. Also, I have friends who studied biometrics - it's more biomedical/computer engineering, but a very promising field nonetheless.

  2. you cant intertwine unless you plan on shocking people you are being a doctor for.  electrical isnt that great.  just doing electrical wiring and stuff.  biomedical is better.

  3. Biomedical engg.. is of biology. If you are good in biology You can take it.I think so you cannot interwine these fields
