The Godolphin owned 4-year-old colt, Biondetti, will end his racing career 9 career starts, which reaped 3 victories including a Group 1 race at San Siro Italy. The colt by Bernardini will be retired and enter stud in 2013 at Woodford Thoroughbreds in Reddick,

Out of Lyphard mare Lyphard’s Delta, Biondetti is retiring after earning $359,583 and at the moment the colt is in quarantine in England, and will return to the United States this month.
Biondetti in his racing career was trained by horseman, Mahmood Al Zarooni, and the colt started his racing career in spectacular way, when he posted a hat-trick in his first three starts.
He won he Maiden Stakes at first asking over a distance of seven furlongs at Newmarket (July) on 6 August, 2010, and was able to defeat maidens at his first attempt, as he went on to cover the distance in 1 minute and 27.26 seconds.
At Kempton Park, Biondetti went on to win a Conditions Stakes race over the track’s synthetic surface, which was also run over a distance of seven furlongs and this time it took Biondetti 1 minute and 28.06 seconds to reach the wire.
Sent to Italy to run in the Group 1 Gran Criterium, Biondetti proved his versatility when he went on to bag the race over San Siro’s turf course, and being stretched out to 1 mile after a couple seven furlong races.
However, that was the last time Biondetti won a race in his entire racing career, which lasted until 6 July, 2012. He did finish second in the one mile long Group 3 Prix Messidor at Maisons-Laffitte in France.
Prior to that start, he was at Churchill Downs, where he finished fourth to winner, Uncle Mo, in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile over 1 1/16 miles.
"We are committed to the Florida breeding program and this horse complements what we are trying to do in Florida," said Woodford Thoroughbreds general manager Matt Lyons. "He has all the ingredients to be an important sire. He was a group/grade 1 winning
miler at 2, he could run on dirt, all weather, and turf. He's a son of arguably the best young stallion in the world in Bernardini and he has a wonderful female family.”
