  1. Hi.  I have bipolar, too.  Talk to your doctor or get one if you don't have one already.  Your hormones are messing with the illness.  Birth control might help, but you need to coordinate that with your meds and should work with a doc since some BC can effect your moods, too.

  2. I also have bipolar, and it does worsen during that wonderful time of the month. This is because your hormones are changing which effects the chemicals in your brain. This doesn't help when you have a chemical disorder already.  My suggestion to you would be to exercise during the pms time. It does help, even if you already exercise, up your work out. Stay away from sugars they add to depression. Try some soothing teas, take more bubble baths and try to avoid stressful situations during this period time. You also might want to talk to your doctor too, there are medications that help with pms even if you're already on meds for bipolar.

    Good luck

  3. I have this.  You can contact your doctor and disguss this with them.  I found that more medication has helped me with this.

  4. Yes Anxiety and Depression get worse during PMS too.  Possibly your doctor can help with it, there might be an additional medication you can take during those days.  I know someone that thought she was having a nervous breakdown during PMS, but it wasn't that, it was the role PMS plays on our minds and bodies.
