Biraldo likely to prevail in the 420m race at Peterborough
Biraldo has been given the best odds by the bookmakers for winning the Grade A1 flat race at Peterborough in England on Wednesday, March 7, 2012. The winning greyhound will be awarded with cash prize of £98.
The 420 metres event is scheduled to commence at 22:30 GMT and five runners will be taking part in it. The names of these challengers are: Biraldo, Steeple Rd Enda, Tullymurry Pop, Golden Citrine and Mt Leinster Maid.
David Pruhs’ trainee, Biraldo, has got very good chances of winning the event, as he has been in solid form over the past few months. He has been mostly doing trial times in order to get used to the conditions at Peterborough, but it will be a different
thing altogether to take part in a race.
Considering his lack of race practice, the punters might be a touch hesitant over placing their bets on the favourite hound. However, they might miss a solid chance of winning some easy money, if they choose to bet against the victory of Biraldo.
The black dog, who is the youngest runner in this event, is the son of Head Bound out of Airport Boss and was born in June 2010.
The bookmakers have also given decent odds to Steeple Rd Enda, trained by F. Lenton. He has not been in good touch over the past couple of events, but has the ability to surprise one and all with his speed and skills.
The black dog was unable to make a solid impression in his last outing at Peterborough, as he finished fifth overall. He was given decent odds back then as well, but his start was below par, which saw him finish way down the order.
Steeple Rd Enda might turn things around today, if he gets off to a good start. He is the son of Black Shaw out of Upward Tina and was born in February 2010.
On the other hand, Tullymurry Pop, Golden Citrine and Mt Leinster Maid also have good chances of pulling off something special today. Although they have been rated as the least favourite hounds to win the race, the lack of experience of the top two could
work in their favour.
The bettors will have to be quite careful while placing their bets in this race, as anyone can win it.
