I recently visited Mount Washington, BC with my parents and there was a bird that was eating out of our hands and coming really close. My dad was wondering what type of bird this was. I have inserted a picture below.

  1. Id like to help but im afraid i cant correctly identify it... but i would say it might be some type of sparrow, BUT DONT I MAY BE WRONG

  2. It looks like a young mockingbird. i'm not very sure, but that's what i think.

  3. i am in the proccess of studying birds right now, and i think this bird looks like a  fledgling galapagos mockingbird.

  4. Yes I agree with 100% Organic Snark.  It is a Gray Jay.

  5. A Gray Jay.

The description of this bird says they are trusting and easily tamed, so that would be the type of "wild" bird that would eat from your hand.

Um -- Runt81 -- keep studying. Galapagos mockingbirds don't live anywhere NEAR Canada. The word "Galapagos" should be the big tip-off.
