I found a bird trap today when i was out walking it has a bird in it and it was distressed. I looked on the label on the cage it said that the cage was legal and not to interfere witht he cage and it also said that the bird where being looked after well.

It has been there quite some time as i kept going back to check on it. It was left out in the sun with no shade.

Who would have trapped wild birds and why? I thought it was illegal to trap wild birds.

  1. Yes its illegal to trap ANY wild birds in the UK, A bird trapper wants to sell this bird as a legal bird that has been band ed and all info Ive read says its pain ful for the bird and stressful. You need to go back and set this bird free and distroy the d**n trap as well. The people who carry a licence for trapping birds do it right with a trap that closes from the birds weight not one that harms the bird. And they know the risks of trapping wild birds and like I said ITS ILLEGAL in the UK but you better belive its going on!!
