  1. he is really lonely or his feet arent streched out enough. you should get him different size perches. its either a lonely thing or a foot issue

  2. I think he likes it on your shoulder and it could be a form of separation anxiety.

I would try calmly and quietly to reassure him that its ok for you to put him down, he can't live on your shoulder. I would then do something else while telling him what your doing - you don't want to teach him that screaming equals being rewarded by contact with you.

Also when he's being funny or cute or just being himself praise him up big time, cockatiels are REALLY intelligent and are happy to learn new things. Maybe make a game of it!

  3. lol. sounds like a baby.you can never set babys down with out them screaming! well it may be that his feet are uncomfortable on such a flat surface, but its probably just because he wants his way and he knows how to get it. just keep him on your shoulder while hes not in his cage or distracted by toys or something else and he will be happy. if it bothers you, then whenever you set him down on the table, or anywhere else that he normally screams when you set him down, next time give him a treat to keep him distracted. then when he finishes the treat pick him up again and praise him a lot. cockatiels are smart birds and he should soon learn that its a good thing to sit on the table and its even better to sit on the table and not scream. good luck and i hope i helped! =D

  4. He probably doesn't want to be left alone.  If you are the only one that takes him out of his cage and there are no other birds around, YOU are his link to the world.  You would do the same thing if you were placed in that situation.

  5. he probably feels safer on your shoulder, and not on the table. Just let him be on your shoulder more,  he is small and probably loves you .
