  1. a canary bird! they sing a lot, and are domesticated to live in a cage, in captivity.

  2. I started with two a cockatiel myself. Find a young handraised male bird as they are more apt to "talk" and are easier to train and bond with at a young age. I loved my bird and he was SO much fun! Be prepared for a strong attachment and a lot of love.

  3. A cockatiel is a very friendly bird and not very noisy.  They chirp every once in a while but that's it.  They are very sweet and very interesting.  I would highly recommend a cockatiel.

    I hope I helped!

  4. I'd get a budgie they're alot of fun and are easy to take care of

  5. If you don't mind noise, a cockatiel.

If you do mind noise, a parrotlet.

Both very hardy, talking ability, social, not expensive (about $120).  Both can also live over 20 years though so make sure you know exactly what you're signing up for when you do it.

  6. A PARAKEET!! I have one and shes awesome!!!! Shes very playful and easy to take care of. They are also pretty cheap and really cute!!

  7. a finch! i have one it is easy to take care of and they are very active. i have one and it loves me so much when i open the cage it hops out of the cage and comes to my shoulder. once the cage was open outside on April fools and it didn't fly away, next April fools hey left it outside and it came back in when the door as open! they are so adorable and so nice!get one!

  8. i would suggest a male cockateil and if you pick another one make sure its a male females tend to squawk more you can tell the gender because males tend to have brighter colors and like to sing and talk
