Birds for sale....where to buy??

Question

I took my daughter out today all set to buy a pair of zebra finches with a cage. She has been asking for a while now and as she has been very good at keeping her other pets clean and fed I agreed to get her the birds. I couldn't believe it when we tried 5 local pet shops and not 1 of them sell birds now let alone the cage. If any one could let me know where I could buy finches and a cage around the Alton Hampshire uk area I would be most appreciative.

Get down to your newsagent and buy or order the papers called Cage & Aviary Birds or Fur & Feather,bird breeders advertise in these.

The majority of large Pet stores no longer stock birds so you need to find a private pet shop or breeder.

Look in Yellow pages.

try and go to Petco. in mason street. Or Petsmart. i was about to buy a zebra finch there but i chose parakeets

if your daughter wants a cuddly bird, sometimes finches arent the best. just saying. maybe parakeet cockatiel. you can try craigslist, or oodle.com its an add site. you can maybe even adopt one. good luck!

Check out petfinder.com you can search by animal and zip code there. Also try calling your local shelter. They may have some, if not they may be able to tell you who does.

Try adopting not buying... Try searching on craigslist, petfinder.com, or your local animal shelter.
