  1. You should definitely hand feed it  and talk to it a lot more and try to hold him

  2. Some birds do not like to be touched, but they should bee friendly enough for you to have them on your finger or walking on you.  I would start off by just opening the cage up so your bird can walk freely around it and then back in its' cage when it want to.  Be in the room when your bird is out walking.  Eat a meal a day with the bird.  Since the bird is not that friendly you might want to eat in the room the bird is in.  Birds eat with their flock and that is you.  Give the bird things off your plate, like green beans, etc and let the bird take them from your hand.  You will probably have to hold it out for awhile, but birds are curious so it will want to see what you are holding.  Mimic the birds behaviors.  Talk with the bird.  Make the bird completely comfortable with you.  All my birds liked to have soft music on.  Some would even bop around to it-that could be another bonding moment for you.  If the cage is not very big you could bring the bird outside in the cage and have it out in the fresh air and sun.  Bird love being outside and if you take it outside it will become more excited to see you becuase it will know that you are the one that takes him outside, gives treats, etc.  It will take some work.  Keep in mind that your bird does like you, it is just afraid and shy right now.

Buy a good book on parrot behavior.  Once the bird is friendly there could be other problems that need fixing like biting.  The sooner you fix problems the easier it is.

  3. First of all, you need to gain its trust. By doing that you should get a clicker thats good enough to hear. Start by putting your hand in the cage but dont touch the bird. Once it starts yelling stop your hand were it is and wait till the bird is calm than press the clicker and take your hand out of the cage. After 5mins put your hand back in the cage but this time closer and wait for the yelling to stop and press the clicker and take your hand out. Keep doing this untill your finger gets really close that you can touch the bird and if its yelling while your touching the bird dont move your hand just be patient. The bird will soon be done yelling and press the clicker. You've got to the point were you can pet him/her. To make him or her step up on your hand is a whole deffrent thing, that i wont get into right know. This process lets your bird know that once it has stoped yelling and it hears the clicker means that you'll leave it alone. That way it will be patient with you and do whatever it is to leave the bird alone. Hope that helped.
