Germany’s in-form players Birgit Michels and Johanna Goliszewski showed a great performance and kept the hopes of local fans alive by reaching into Women’s Doubles final at Bitburger Open Grand Prix Gold 2012, which is in progress at Saarbrucken.
In the semi-final battle, Birgit and Johanna put up remarkable show and outplayed Thailand’s Patchanut Krajangjit and Peeraya Munkitamorn in a dominating manner on Saturday, November 3.
The inform Birgit and Johanna, who are un-seeded players in the Women’s Doubles draw of the championship, continued their giant killing performance in semi-final battle and easily ended up the winning run of their Thai challengers and secured a title berth.

After the one-minute break, Patchanut and Peeraya tried to put up strong resistance but they remained unable to cope up with the impressive speed of their German rivals.
In the meanwhile, Birgit and Johanna remained consistent in playing positive and fast badminton and they managed to take the game with a stunning 21-12 score on the board.
In the second set, the in-form German shuttlers played in the similar dominating fashion and kept their upper hand over their Thai opponent in opening half.
After the break, Birgit and Johanna stayed calm but quick on court and they won the set with a reasonable 21-17 margin on the score board.
The incredible German duo won this semi-final clash in style in just 29 minutes with a crushing total of 21-12 and 21-17.
