Birmingham City draw with Everton to move out of relegation zone - English Premier League update

Beckford’s powerful shot from outside the box.
The hosts created the majority of chances but it was the visitors who opened the scoring against the run of play in the 17th minute. Mutch floated a wonderful long ball into the box and the unmarked Beausejour guided his header past Howard to
make it 1-0 for Birmingham.
The hosts looked to hit back with an immediate equaliser but Beckford was denied again by Foster, who scrambled to push the ball out after a poor clearance from the defender.
The Toffees managed to level things up in the 35th minute as Osman’s corner was partially cleared by the visiting defender and the ball fell to Heitinga, whose perfect shot found the top corner, to make it 1-1.The hosts could have doubled the
lead ten minutes into the second half but Saha, after doing all the good work, delayed his shot and it was blocked by the defender.
The hosts completely dominated the second half and came close of scoring on several occasions but Foster was equally good to the challenge.
The visitors could not manage a single shot on goal in the second half as the game ended 1-1.
Everton will play Fulham in their next fixture on 19th March, while Birmingham City will play Bolton Wanderers in an FA cup tie on 12th March.
