Hi, I would like to know if anyone would know how to go about looking for an old newspaper article in the Birmingham Mail (but then it would have been The Evening Mail)

The article would have been approx. 1977/1978. Any pointers or advice much appreciated!

Thanks

  1. I have a good friend who works in the Local Studies Dept. of Birmingham Central Library and I know that they have back copies of the Birmingham (Evening) Mail going back for many years. Most of them are kept on microfiche (or they were when I needed to use them but may have been put onto computer files by now.) Give them a ring on (0121)303 4511 (General enquiries) and they will put you in touch with the relevant department.

  2. Ring the Birmingham Mail. They'll have an archive of all of their newspapers, but they'll charge you for a copy.

There's a whole list of people to contact here http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham...

  3. What's it about ?
