Hi at all!

I’ll come to England to find a job as a professional. I’m thinking to come to Birmingham to look for a job there and to use it as a basis (for his central position) to move in the rest of the country to attend for some job interview.

During this period (3-4 weeks), do you think is it easy to find a temporary job (such as in a restaurant, bar, lefletting, etc.) to pay my expenses? Other than checking gumtree, is there some specific area plenty of restaurants, etc.?

And is it easy to find a weekly accommodation, for example a bed in an apartment (instead of an hostel)? Which are good area for position (easy to move in the city) and affordable price?

Thank you for your help and advices.

  1. No it won't be easy to find either a temporary job for only 3 or 4 weeks or an apartment for that long. An employer will rather hire someone who is going to stick around rather then hire you then 4 weekslater have to hire someone else. And with apartments, they usually have a 6 month lease. You could find a B&B or cheap hotel. But you won't be able to rent out a flat for such a short time.

  2. Hi,

It wont be easy for you as most employer will like to have someone stick around for much longer, However it is possible to do fruit pickin in Evesham jsut outside Birmingham!

On the matter if living somewhere that is a more difficult matter as most lettings will need a months deposit and a months up front!

    Normally around £1.000 gbp.

It is possible there are letting agents on the main Bristol road in Birmingham that deal with worths that only require what you do,

But if its any type of work and can be anywhere inthe Uk, Try Butlins Part of Bourne leisure they employ anyone!!

Hope this helps and good luck!!

P.S Don't forget visa to work and your new employer has the right to bring immigrat workes into the uk!!
