  1. How long is a piece of string!  There are so many fares available and it does depend on when you are travelling and how far in advance you can book.  There are two main routes to London from Birmingham.  There is the slow(ish) train from Snow Hill to Marylebone and the fast(ish) train from New Street to Euston (by Virgin).  Go to the www.nationalrail.co.uk website to find out times and prices. or www.virgintrains.co.uk

  2. If you buy it at the station on the day you want to travel it will be pretty expensive.

Go to this website and book in advance and it will be much cheaper:

    http://www.thetrainline.co.uk

  3. From the Virgin Trains website:

    BIRMINGHAM to LONDON

    Ticket - Category

    Advance   £10.50  Standard -    ÃƒÂ‚£36.50  First Class

    Semi-Flexible   £38.50   Standard

Fully Flexible   £61.50  Standard - £107.50  First Class

Duration of journey: Approximately 90 minutes.
