Birth Certificate??? Important?

I am a Canadian Citizen, but I was born in the United States...both my parents are Canadian...but my birth certificate was issued in the United States. A few years ago I traveled back to the US to get my birth certificate and I was succesfull, but I recieved a large birth certificate the kind that goes in a frame...an 8 by 11 (or about)...in Canada...however you can also get a wallet size birth certificate...is this available in the United States?

Yes wallet size certificates are available in US. Just be advised that you need a full copy to get a US passport.Below is a note from a birth certificate application.

NOTE THAT THE WALLET SIZE BIRTH CERTIFICATE CONTAINS LESS INFORMATION THAN THE FULL SIZE CERTIFICATE. IT MAY NOT SATISFY ALL PROOF OF IDENTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS SUCH AS THOSE NEEDED TO OBTAIN PASSPORTS.

No. Most jurisdictions don't have that. But, you could take your birth certificate to a print shop, like a Kinko's,  and they could make a reduced-size print of it to fit in a wallet.
