I've been on Trinessa birth control pills for almost 3 weeks, and I've been spotting all the way through those weeks (Sometimes seems like even a light period) also small cramps, and I was just wondering if it was normal? Thanks in advance.

  1. maybe ur body is still getting used to it. srry if i didnt help =/

  2. i'd go back to your doctor and discuss another hormone level... it could be as simple as that.

also... did you start the first week of your pill the day after you ended your last period? if not, that is a very good reason as to why you are spotting... your body is trying to get used to having a new cycle.

another option would be to call your pharmacist and ask what they suggest. it's easier than making a doctor's appointment just to ask and the pharmacist will tell you if you should infact go to your doctor.

  3. Spotting can be normal for awhile but you need to make sure you cannot get pregnant during this time. Call your druggist or Dr. and they can put your concerns to rest. You might just need a higher dosage to stop spotting

  4. You probably need a stronger dose, ask your doctor. I had to take the strongest pill to stop break thru.
