Birth Control and Weight Gain?

Hi,

I was prescribed Alesse 28 for my extreme cramps during that time of the month. I'm a little hesitant due to one of the many side effects, WEIGHT GAIN! Will I gain weight??

Not if you control your eating habits... IT only increases your appetite.

you may, it is a side effect of the medication but it shouldnt be a lot of weight maybe a few pounds, i was on the depo provera shot and let me tell you those shots make you gain weight fast! i gained like fifteen pounds off of that shot, but dont worry usually the pill does not cause that much weight gain, check out the link below it is the drug information having to do with alesse 28, good luck and you will be okay
