Question:

Birth Control for a Canadian in France?

I'm moving to France in a couple months for school. I'll be there for a year, and I'm in the process of switching methods of birth control. What kinds of birth control would I be able to get in France? I have health insurance, but I will not be covered by French Social Security.

  1. Pill, patch, diaphragms or intrauterine device. You will have to pay the full price of the visit to the gynecologist. In France gynecologists are a specialisation, they are the one to see for that, not your family doctor.
