Birth Control in urine and blood testing....?

im on the birth control pill and im a minor and im going to be drug tested routinely and i was wondering how long it stays in your blood or urine and if law enforcement or the doctors will tell your parents if they find it in your system????

  1. Yes, it seems so. Just like salt and vinegar can show up in those tests. The best thing is if you take the pill in the evening before you go to sleep because after about 8 hours one can no longer detect it. But they can't really do anything against you taking the pill, minors are allowed to take it. So there should be no reason they would notify your parents. What they are concerned about are illicit (illegal) drugs.

    I hope all works out for you. It's always nice to see a responsible kid!

I have never heard of anyone being tested for oral contraceptives in a drug screen.  Usually a drug screen looks for drugs such as cocaine, marijuana, heroin, etc.  Unless they are looking specifically for BC, they wouldn't find it.  Drug screens are designed to look for specific drugs in your system.  You don't say why you are being tested, but if it is for recreational drug use I wouldn't think BC would show up.
