Question:

Birth Control to help Your Period?

My periods lately have been very heavy and terribly hurtful. I haven't been able to do any of my daily tasks at all. Today alone I've ruined 3 pairs of pants and underwear, even though I've been wearing TWO pads. I plan on going to the doctor soon but I still have questions. My Aunt told me I could me I could use birth control to help regulate and slow the flow of my periods, is this true? Could I begin the birth control while I am on my period? and if not how soon could I start them after my period?
