Birth certificate for mexico?

yes i was wondering chances are im probably just going to get a passport but if i dont get a passport i will be travling to mexico and i dont want to take my birth certificate to mexcio with me is it ok if i make a copy of it myself and take the copy of it instead?

Be safe get a F*king passport! I know of people who have gotten stuck down there. You could also learn Spanish .......
